A New Beginning

I'm entering the fascinating world of business, and I'm pretty excited. Saturday, my friend, Wendy, and I will travel to Ocala to meet Andrea and finalize the purchase of Babies In The Sun. It's only a three hour drive, but it will seem longer due to the excitement I'm feeling, and the fact we'll be driving with kids ages 4, 3, 2 and two months old. Well, I think mostly because of the kids. ;-)

It has been an interesting journey from "newbie cloth diapering mama," to "cloth diaper business owning mama." Five years ago this month, I thought that:
1) I didn't like babies or kids and I would never have any
2) Cloth diapers went the way of the dinosaur
and
3) Breastfeeding was for poor, uneducated people (boy was I wrong!)

Life has a way keeping you on your toes. Just as soon as you think you've got things pegged, it all changes in ways you'd never imagined. I moved home from Japan in January 2001, and discovered I was pregnant in eary March. Whoa! I didn't even like babies. Amazingly enough, October 2001, Kaia was born and I fell madly in love with her. So much for not liking babies.

--I have good intentions of finishing this post. Gonna try publishing to see how this works now. Bear with me, lol.
